Clean rooms look like this
The pictures on this page show what a room should look like when we leave it. A clean kitchen has a degreased stovetop and no ring around the sink drain. A clean bathroom has grout you can see the color of again, and no hair along the base of the toilet.
What finished looks like in a kitchen
A kitchen is where a clean shows first. We wipe the cabinet fronts where hands grab them, degrease the stovetop and range hood, clean the sink and faucet, and mop the floor last.
Bathrooms need the most scrubbing
Soap scum and hard water build up on shower glass and around the faucet base, and a quick spray and wipe will not move them. That takes scrubbing and time, which is why the first bathroom visit runs longer than the ones after it.
Older homes hide dust in radiators
Many older houses here still heat with radiators or baseboard heaters. Both collect dust, and it bakes on when the heat comes on. We dust between the radiator fins and along the baseboard covers. That dust is what you smell the first cold night of the season.
